Spotted: Beauty Without Cruelty

September 8, 2011

In our September issue (on stands now!), we’re celebrating the hottest hues for fall in both fashion and cosmetics. And while swooning over color trends, we came across a line of makeup and skin care products that was enticing in more ways than one.

Developed in England but available locally, Beauty Without Cruelty boasts an admirable mission: to provide high quality but affordable cosmetics with an environmental edge. While many makeup companies make a strict point to avoid testing their products on animals, BWC manufactures natural cosmetics that are not tested on animals and do not contain any animal ingredients.

BWC natural infusion lipsticks, $23 each; mineral eye shadows, $25 each.

Their products are also right in line with cosmetic color trends, including a lipstick hue called Day Lily (open lipstick pictured here). A bright and cherry-tinted shade of red, Day Lily pairs perfectly with the cooler accents, such as the shimmery blue and gold mineral eye shadows pictured here. (Find more inspiring hues in cosmetic lines available locally in BRAVA’s September Live in Style feature!)

Along with an extensive makeup line that includes just about any cosmetic product you could wish for, BWC also offers aromatherapy skin, hair and body care products that will leaving you feeling soft and smelling scrumptious from head to toe.
