Stylish Shoes: The Language of the Summer
Shoes can make or break an outfit. They are the punctuation on the sentence that is your ensemble. If you punctuate incorrectly, it can change the meaning of your sentence completely! To help us brush up on our grammar, or rather shoe trends, we chatted with two fabulous footwear retailers: Shoo and Cornblooms. They did all of the hard sentence diagramming by sharing great tips and trends to ensure our outfits say exactly what we want, all summer long.
To show off your creative and nostalgic side, try vintage inspired shoes. Their quirkiness will liven up any outfit and add a feminine boost to your ensemble.
Shades of Yellow
Yellow is a hit this summer! It’s the perfect pop of color needed for outfits that feel a little drab and need a sunny punch of excitement.

Make the trend last into the fall with shades that vary from mustard to gold.
Keep your feet in line with visually appealing caged wedges in neutral colors. Dress them up or down with sundresses, pencil skirts, skinny jeans or a pair of shorts.
All About the Ankle
Wedges that emphasize the ankle are all the rage. They combine sandals with the look of boots, and are sure to add a fierce touch to skirts and dresses.
Trendy Tennis Shoes
When you are on the go and need a comfy shoe, sandals aren’t always practical. Lightweight, unstructured and unlined tennis shoes with perforation are perfect for running errands and traveling in style.
Sandals at Work
Summertime is great for all kinds of fabulous activities like going to the beach, having cookouts and more. But being exempt from work and your dress code is usually not allowed. If you want to exude the essence of summer but still be appropriate for work, try a cute pair of sandal-like heels with closed toes.
