Must-Grabs for Spring

April 19, 2011

Outside, spring is still feeling a little dreary, but at BRAVA we’re looking on the bright side with this season’s most colorful and wearable trends. To find out what’s hot around town, we checked in with a few of the retailers who provided the looks from our April fashion spread to see what they recommend as the “must-have” items for spring.

The Maxi Dress
At Twigs, the maxi dress is on display front and center for good reason. A leg-lengthening frock reminiscent of the 1970s in all the right ways, the maxi dress is a versatile garment perfect for a night out with friends or lazy days on the beach. Check out Twigs for various maxi dress styles—from floral to tribal prints and graphic art designs to dip dye effects, there’s a little something for everyone. The Floral Tunic
Forget dusty, dark colors! Spring is all brightening up and at Woldenberg’s they’re displaying a floral tunic that evokes the feeling of spring with a flair for sophistication. Top it off with a floppy hat, lightweight cardigan and a pair of open-toe shoes and you’ve got the perfect mix of casual and class. A few Wild Accessories
From animal print to to bird feathers, take a walk on the wild side this season with a bold accessory. According to Francesca’s, animal-inspired accessories are all the rage and they’re a quick way to jazz up any solid top or dress. A Doctor’s Tote
Did someone call the doctor? It just got stylish to look like it and at Francesca’s you can find an old-fashioned doctor’s bag to add an updated touch to any spring attire. The soft, smooth leather gives this bag a sophisticated and modern feel while its medium size makes it suitable for varying occasions. Here’s to warmer weather on the horizon! (Knock on wood…)
