When a Little Red Dress Makes a Big Difference

February 9, 2011

Last week you may have seen them, a whole herd of crazy-looking people dashing from the Monona Terrace to the State Capitol donning wacky red gear from head to toe. For those not in-the-know, it was the Red Dress Dash, an annual event put on this year by the American Heart Association Go Red For Women-Madison and UW Health to raise awareness for the No. 1 killer of women: cardiovascular disease.

If you missed the event, be sure to find WKOW 27‘s report here. Then find a few photos here and here! (Of course, stay tuned to your next issue of BRAVA for more photos!)

The entire month of February is American Heart Month. Spread the word about heart disease to women you know. Wear a little red dress with pride. And be sure to follow the amazing women taking part in the Go Red Girlfriends Challenge and the BetterU with BRAVA challenge today!
