Madison Women’s Expo Fashion Show: Behind the Scenes

November 23, 2010
by

This weekend was the big event. The Madison Women’s Expo was held all day Nov. 20 and 21. Thank you to everyone that made it out to see the show! I was so excited and honored to be producing the fashion show for the second year in a row! Everyone wanted more, so we brought it back for both days of the Expo this year. The Fashion Show was held at the Ultimate Spa and Salon’s Beauty Stage at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. We featured clothing from several Greenway Station stores including:

Chico’s

Christopher & Banks

C.J. Banks

Coldwater Creek

DSW

Endurance House

Erehwon Mountain Outfitters

Francesca’s Collections

Marshall’s

Maurice’s

Orvis

White House | Black Market

Woldenberg’s

Hair and Makeup for our lovely models was provided by Ultimate Salon and Spa.

We were thankful to have Kj Lyn, Madison’s premiere model and runway coach, instructing our models this year. Kj is the go-to gal when it comes to all things model related. Please contact her if you have ever thought about modeling and she will help point you in the right direction.  Find more info about her at kjlyn.com and check back next Wednesday for Caroline’s interview with Kj!

I will leave you with a few behind the scenes photos from the Fashion Show.

This is what the backstage looks like before the craziness. The calm before the storm.

Organization is key!

Fashion is Fun! Our handsome male models like to have a good time.

Both shows were absolutely seamless. We had a great team of models and staff to produce a fantastic show. A special thank you to Meredith Wald, Chelsea Roehl, Carly Solberg and Kj Lyn for all of their hard work on the shows. Also, I would like to thank the models. It was a pleasure to work with such lovely down to earth people. All of our models got along so well together. It was a joy to see them join together to help each other out, from a few words of encouragement to helping with quick changes backstage. Bonding definitely happened over the two days. We are all planning a social gathering to get together! I think we have found life long friends in each other.
Check back for professional photos of the Fashion Show in the coming weeks.
If you would like to model for BRAVA Magazine or for a future fashion show, please send email me at rosalee@bravaenterprises.com. Please include your name, age, sizes(pant, shirt, dress, shoe) and two snapshots of yourself (one headshot and one full body shot)
Have confidence Dolls,  you are beautiful!
