Get a [Piece] of this!
As you might have heard, Atticus—one of my fav. shops on the Capitol Square—recently opened up a new concept store further toward campus on State Street called [Piece] by Atticus.
Of the idea behind Piece, owner Kristin Wild says, “Piece will highlight a literal piece of the Atticus collection in a location and price range more convenient for younger customers. We listened to what our shoppers have asked for and the response to lower price points and item pieces was phenomenal.”
I popped in the new store this past weekend to see what the fuss is about, and my first impression was that it’s sleek, industrial and full of fun things that are ALL UNDER $100! Similar to what I find at Atticus, Piece has a combination of Midwestern designers with bi-coastal and international brands for both men and women. One of my most favorite lines—House of Harlow 1960 jewelry—was also there (you’ll find the bracelets I’m still lusting after below).
Of course, I couldn’t leave empty-handed, so I gave into my urge to buy a pair of fleece-lined tights. And after wearing them yesterday with a cute tunic (and being outdoors on a photoshoot all morning!), I have never been happier with a purchase. I would highly recommend them for anyone—like me—who loves to wear dresses and skirts year-round. Click on the photo below to find my purchase on atticusshop.com.
